How to Make a SNES Reproduction Cartridge

Hey all!

Just finished typing up my SNES Reproduction tutorial (took me about a month!!) and it's live at my Wordpress site here:

How to Make a SNES Reproduction Cartridge

Check it out! I might add it in full on this site one day, but for now, I'm going to take a break from writing so much and enjoy my reproductions!

If you find any errors, or are confused, feel free to comment or email me. Also check out my Facebook page, so you can see all my random projects that I don't get around to documenting.

Thanks for reading!

Wordpress site is live!

Hey everyone,

I finally got around to migrating all TWO of my tutorials to Wordpress! The layout was a bit wonky to get to look just the way I wanted it, but I finally worked it out.

Check it out! It's a bit rough right now but I'll try to make it look nicer.

Also, another update!

I've been taking a summer class that only lasts for eight weeks, but that basically means the workload is double a normal 16 week course. So I've been pretty busy with balancing that, work, and other personal obligations (being a mid-20s guy, a lot of my friends are getting married; also, Nintendo Switch).

But! The eight weeks is nearly over - I plan to use August (before fall classes) as a time to really put some more work into this website. I've gotten a lot of requests to tackle SNES reproductions - and I really want to do this too! - so be on the lookout for that. I'm also trying to put together a video version of at least my NES reproduction guide to make it easier to follow, but I'm not amazing at videography, so we'll see how that goes.

Also, you guys have been great, over the years I've gotten a lot of questions regarding more specific situations and board types for NES repros (for example, converting one board type to another). I'm going to be cleaning up that tutorial and adding in some of the extra research I've done to give a more comprehensive entry.

Please stay tuned, and keep your questions coming if you have them! I might not be able to get to them right away, but I will put in as much effort as I can.

Happy hacking!

Quick Update

Hello everyone,

I know I've only posted twice on this blog, but I've got updates planned for the near future. I recently entered graduate school for Electrical Engineering, and I'm working a full time job at the same time. So I'm a bit busy! But I have a lot of ideas and a lot of projects in process. I'm working on a SNES wireless controller, and updating it to Bluetooth instead of RF for a stronger signal and PC interfacing. Should be neat!

Another big update is I'm going to be migrating this blog to Wordpress. It seems more up-to-date than Blogger, and a bit more flexibility in design. The tutorials might serve better there. I'll keep these two tutorials up, but I'll only be updating them on Wordpress once I'm finished migrating there. Of course, you can continue to comment here and I'll help out any way I can, or you can email me.

Thanks for checking this out! I'm glad I could help so many people with their NES hobby projects. I hope to expand soon to other non-Nintendo projects, too, so check back soon.
